MapCHECK IMRT QA System
MapCHECK™ is the worldwide leader in film-less IMRT QA. This is due to precision detectors which measure absolute pinpoint dose in steep gradients more accurately than ionization chambers, and more reproducibility than film. Combined with software known for ease of use and powerful analysis options, MapCHECK is the original gold standard for IMRT QA.

Hardware
- Active Detector area: 0.8 mm x 0.8 mm (0.64mm2)
- Inner Array: 10 x 10 cm array: 7.07 mm diagonal, 1.0cm horizontal/vertical
- Outer Array: 6 cm wide: 14.14 mm diagonal, 2.0cm horizontal/vertical
- Axial and Transverse (X,Y) linear array length: 22 cm, 1.0 cm detector spacing
- Diagonals linear array length: 25.4 cm, 7.07 mm detector spacing
- User calibrated every 1-2 years using a patented calibration method
Applications
- Dose plan verification (field by field, composite or rotational/arc)
- MLC QA; Small detectors identify MLC misalignments as fine as 0.2mm
- Beam QA (routine flatness, symmetry, output measurements)
- Gating QA (with MotionSim XY/4D option)
- Dose based EPID IMRT QA (with EPIDose option)
Setup
- Simple, quick setup makes getting started easy
- Single cable carries power, data and is common to other Sun Nuclear instruments
- Add buildup if desired, not required
- CT Scan if desired, not required
- Option of using Isocentric Mounting Fixture (IMF™) for measurement at prescription angle
- Select calibration file
- QA takes just slightly longer than the time needed to deliver the plan
